PCB milling with Lumenlab Micro cnc machine

    Hi

I'm looking for recommended spindle speeds and feed rates for milling fibreglass copper board pcb's on a Lumenlab Micro cnc machine in my office. Previous attempts to mill pcb's with this machine have resulted in some pretty poor results on very simple designs from EAGLE CAD and my design is significantly more complex than previous attempts. By the manufacturer's specs the machine should be very accurate.

I'm using a 0.5mm carbide end mill bit but as these don't come cheap, I would like to get it right the first time and not destroy the bit. The spindle is rated from 500-22000rpm

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Jamgee

How thick is the board and are you trying to mill / cut it into a particular shape?

    Cheers
