    Okuma OSP 5000L M19 Code

We recently bough a used Okuma LB15 with Tail stroke with OSP 5000L . The machine was supplied with a Collete we wish to replace it with new hydraulic chuck.

But the spindle is not getting locked. We tried to use m19 command even with C
    M19C0 / M19C270

But getting Alert 472 of Spindle

We tried to check it in manual but no luck can any one suggest any other way we can lock the spindle so that we can at least change it to chuck.

This is first time I am using Okuma OSP

It has been a long time siince I ran that machie but it never had a spindle lock. The best you can do it put the spindle in LOW RANGE, I forget the code (but remember that problem), and that will help a lot.

RE: Okuma OSP 5000L M19 Code

Thank you for your prompt reply. Yes its quite old machine and people tend to forget the codes not used often. You mentioned it to take the machine in lower range. Are you talking about Spindle Gear Range.

My Okuma LB 15 is having Two light M41 & M42

Do you think i should use M41 / M2 or M40 will solve the problem. Also do i need to specify the speed or any other perimeters

M40 Spindle gear Range Neutral (got it from the Net)
    M41 Spindle Gear Range 1
    M42 Spindle Gear Range 2

No spindle lock on that lb15. Just command an m41. That's about as good as you will get. M19 was only an option, and not on most lb15s.

if you have C axis, engage C with M110 then clamp the spindle using M147 (unclamp is M146, M109 is C axis off)
