Mach3 vs LinuxCNC vs USBCNC vs CNCUSB

    Hello all,

I' am planing my DIY CNC router i have everything well thought out besides the NC controller.

Which NC Controller would be the best solution in terms of performance. I'am not technical oriented/or experienced to evaluate this 4 different solutions, maybe could somebody explain some pros/cons and general advise or experience using them.

    Best regards,

    Helder Costa

hey if your setting up a cnc router with ballscrews and stuff. to get you going, I would use GRBL with chillipeppr CNC controller. Providing you are comfortable with wiring, its by far the easiest to setup.

The LinuxCNC and Mach3 stuff seems to take longer to get running and more days of configuring but offers more features.

If its wood etc your routing then you couldnt go wrong with GRBL.

Since youre in his immediate area i would go with eding cnc, I have never looked at grbl, but from the little bit I just did seems like a great idea for a very small limited build.

    geluk ermee!
