    Doosan Puma 2100LY

    Evening everyone,

I have a Doosan Puma 2100LY machine where there are some saved programs.
I want to extract them from there to a local network or to a USB pendrive.

The issue is that I don't know how to do it and I don't think there is a USB port in it as far as I see.

    Can anyone assist me please?

    Thank you in advance.

The control is a Fanuc i-Series.

    Is this it?

How did the programs get in there? On that control I think there is 3 options. 1. Ethernet 2. RS232 3. Sandisk drive on the front of the control. The easiest to setup is the sandisk. Plug the card in and go to edit mode. Soft key over until you see the punch comand. Press punch and you should be on your way.

To use the PCMCIA slot, you'll need a PCMCIA to Compact Flash adapter:

    and a Compact Flash card.

I have the best luck with the old-style SanDisk:

And how can I do it through Ethernet?

There is a shared folder to where I send the programs and in the machine I grab them from there and save them in its internal memory.

The thing is that I want to retrieve a program saved in the machine's internal memory.

You don't say which "i-Series", but I'm assuming it's a 0i-TD. Setting up ethernet communications is more involved that using a card, but it's not rocket science.

The attached .pdf is for 18i/21i, but should be very close to the 0i model D.

It sounds like the ethernet is already set up if he can pull programs to the machine. You should be able to find the machine on your network from the PC. Then just copy them to the file you want.

So let's start from the beginning. Are you able to pull programs into the machine via ethernet connection? How did the programs in the machine memory get there?
