Cnc that work for small scale jewelry and medium size wood cutting - what to buy

    Hi guys!
We were thinking of buying a cnc kit but it has to serve two purposes: I'm a jeweler, so I need it to have precision (what is the acceptable precision for engraving and cutting silver, for instance?) but also we'd like it to be able to cut medium size wood or acrilic panels. The kits we looked up were in the range of 700 USD (half being bought here and set up by us) and that was acceptable, but maybe a little bit higher if it served both purposes. Any ideas? Thank you!

Sounds to me like you need two distinctly different machines. While you in theory could have one machine that does both I think the tradeoffs would be too great.
