Today, I was etching an image (about 30cm) wide onto acryllic and noticed that the quality of the image to the right hand side of the sheet was nowhere near as good quality as the left side. The etch depth was noticably less and cleanliness of the lines a little blurred ... any ideas?

Previous etches have only been about 10cm wide and have come out pretty good.

Any help is appreciated.

laser machine or cnc router? Why mirrors?

Check the flatness of the bed, the honeycombs are close to useless and the 30 series machines are noted for having bed rail mounts that aren't very flat. Remember you only have a 1.7 to 1.8mm depth of field on that lens so any variation in parallel between gantry and bed will cause problems with engraving.
