Hi,
does anyone have Proxxon micromotor power supply schematics, or at least voltage output timing diagram. I have micromot 50/E (with thyristor speed control) and I would like to make DIY supply to drive it.
Thanks in advance,
Nenad Ugarkovic

Well......is it a 12V DC output power supply?
I had Proxxon tools before, and I did open it up to see the power supply (mine is a engraver)
I think it is just a normal 12V DC power supply, you can just use a stronger transformer with a bridge to convert it to DC....won't be difficult
Proxxon uses normal DC supply but you should not use any capacitor in the circuit. I mean only transformer and bridge rectifier are enough.
murat..
Thank You,
this information was very useful, because, I know that it musn't be the clear, flat DC, because the voltage has to be zero from time to time, in order to let integrated (I presume thyristor based) electronics to regulate the speed.
Thanks, Nenad
Hello.
I hope to not do something bad here, soyy for necroposting!
I bought a Proxxon Micromot 50/E. Right now I want a simple controller to be able to control speed and such by PWM, because I'm not able to buy the original PSU.
I want to go to CNC incrementally, recycling as much as possible.
What can I use for this approach?
Kind regards.
