    Form tools

Good morning. Today is my first day with hypermill. I have been looking at a file my boss created. I was just wondering if you can draw up form tools in Hypermill? I can't find anything about them in the help menu. I have programmed with gibbscam and mastercam and you just draw the tool up in the software and select undefined tool , then select the geometry and your done. Also, can you bring in a vise and see it in the verify? I have fixture recognition with gibbscam. It is very handy when doing 4th and 5th axis programs. I just turn on collision checking and if the tool touches my vise or fixture the software will let me know. I didn't see anything in the help menu for this either.

    Good morning,
Of course, you are able to draw up form tools in Hypermill.
Please look at "Defining a free geometry for a tool" in the help menu.
Please draw your form tools with a sketch or read a DXf- file.
Click the edit tool in hyperMILL.
Click Free Geometry > Edit Geometry.
Select the half of your tool Geometry and select OK.
Now, you are able to see your tool in the system.
