    Re: Yaskawa Varispeed 626VM3 Help

It is advisable to change the thermistor, but as it goes inside the motor, the other option is with a 100 ohm resistor

Your Fault is a power supply problem, when turning on power

How are you powering the VFD or Machine

Since i am using encoder control, the connector 2CN is not used. Acccording to the manual, thermistor inputs have to be given to pins 8 and 9 of 2CN. I tried giving the input to those pins but the parameter V7-1 still shows temperature of -27 degree C. Apparently i somehow need to get this above -10 to get the drive to work. If anyone else has used encoder control and has been able to run the motor, please do let me know the connector and pin numbers where you connected the two thermistor wires. I just need to get the parameter V7-1 ro read something above -10 degree C.

    Thank you in advance !
Try 11 and 12 for the thermistor inputs

    Hello,

I am having a Yaskawa Spindle Drive Varispeed 626VM3 is having Alarm F-E04. It means Motor Code Setting Error. I am unable to resolve it. If you know any solution please tell me. Can you please tell which parameter of this drive is responsible for Drive Capacity Code.

The Drive has to match the Motor Capacity or have a larger Capacity, below is what you would set for your motor spec's

    I have the same problem
but what you mean by a power supply problem ?!
    is it control power supply
or power interface card power (fuses & transformers are working properly )
and starting the drive (not installed in the machine) by supplying 3 phase 220 VAC with an electrical contactor and contected to an encoder to avoid encoder problem !!
power supply control output of the power supply as follow at 24 CN
    1. Ground
    2. Ground
    3. 5 VDC
    4. 5 VDC
    5. 15 VDC
    6. -15 VDC
    7. 24 VDC
    8. 5 VDC

    Any suggestions !!!!???

The machine is running, it has error F_C41
The machine parameters I tracked according to the machine documentation have not changed.
    I also don't know why?
    Thank you!

Don't know if that is a fault or a Parameter problem this is not a listed fault for that VFD Drive there is a Parameter that is C1-41

Something to check is the motor thermistor and the cooling fan is clear and working

The machine is processing, the error F_C41 on the rating board on the VDF, not the parameter C1-41.
    Then the machine stopped completely.
    Parameter C1-26: 4000 , C1-41: 0000

    Thank you!

Hello, I have the F-905 error. Would someone be able to tell me where the thermistor is? I have found one thermistor labeled th2 on the board, but adding resistor here made no difference. My display unit was showing -30c before and after. perhaps I have the wrong one, or maybe something else going on. here is the picture of the v-13 output showing the temp reading and an arrow to the thermistor I was playing with . Thanks in advance.

The F905 is the Heatsink thermistor or the wiring for it should show -10c or lower

Thanks, I realize now that I was not looking at the right heatsink. I removed the unit from the machine and there is a large heatsink with a fan at the back. Its sunk into the machine cabinet and was not visible.

Now that I am looking at the correct heatsink I hope I can locate the thermistor.

Mine is now fixed. Measure your thermistor before doing anything. Mine turned out to be working. It should show some resistance. Blast it with cold air from a computer cleaner can, it should change.

In my case it ended up being a bad trace on the board going from the the ribbon connector to a capacitor on the board. Had to take it to a repair shop and it took the technician some time to find the fault. He ran a wire between the 2 points.hope this info helps others.

You would not wire the pot to anything, to do with the thermistor
