    Angry Nakamura Tome

This is a twin spindle TW-10. When I issue a m91 to turn on the c-axis the machine alarms out with a 411 or a 611. My boss asked me about it and I can't remember which one it is. The machine has to be restarted to clear the alarm. Right now we cannot use the c-axis on the left spindle. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Is this a new problem? Have you been able to hook it up before?

Is there a concurrent command that needs to be issued to both 'disconnect" the spindle drive and either connect up the stepper or tell the system that the main spindle motor is now under new control?

Can you, have you been able to hook it up as a C axis via MDI before??

In the program the m91 command starts the c-axis and m41 stops. This same command issued in MDI mode has the same result. There is no way on a fanuc 18t control for the nakamua to start the c-axis in jog mode. It has to be issued the m91 command. After it is issued you can then use jog mode to position the spindle.
