    Computer hardware requirements

I have just bought the Aspire design program. I have a old outdated computer and need to upgrade. I have read the minimum requirements but want to purchase a computer with the ideal setup. I will be purchasing a desktop model. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks John

Since you spent $2K on software, don't skimp on the PC, as it'll make using Aspire much more enjoyable.

Personally, I'd get an i7 with 16 gigs of ram, and a decent videocard with 1 gig of ram.
Since Aspire is only a 32bit program, you can get by with less RAM, but I wouldn't.

This is a decent PC for $1200

A 32bit program would probably only use up to 3.5GB of data (if that) before writing to the pagefile. Though I'd give an extra 1.5GB just for Win7 alone, another 1GB for whatever apps you also have running in the background... I'd say you could get by just fine with 8GB. If you're also running a 3D CAD program, they would most likely take advantage of multi-threading and 64bit memory architecture....
