    LinuxCNC + Mesa

    Hi ,
    it's possible to use the mesa 7i43 with Linuxcnc ? Does it works with usb or only with printerport ?

    Yes the 7I43 works with LinuxCNC but only in the parallel port (EPP) mode.

    USB is not real time and requires buffering, which does not fit with LinuxCNCs real time control model.

    Nowadays I would suggest a 5I25/6I25 as a 7I43 replacement mainly because of simplified cabling.
