Hi there ,

i've been browsing around the forums and haven't been able to find any topic regarding my problem.

The 3-axis milling machine run by a Heindenhein TNC355 numeric is working fine on its on but when it goes to block transfer direct from the PC it slows up really bad. The software provided by Heindenhein is eating up about 60% processor on the PC and it seems to deliver alot slower than the machine can actually work. The machine has to stop and wait for data if the milling feed is greater than F150 or so. The workings and the programs are made by a postprocessor installed from SolidCam and programs that can be loaded into the memory of the controler are executed normally (less than 3000 lines).

PC specs :
Intel T2080 Dual Core 1.73Ghz
2GB DDR2 667Mhz
Running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

TNC 355 settings :
Protocol - FE
Baud rate - 9600
Frame : (Data bits - 7) (parity : even) (stop bits - 1)
Handshake : (DSR)(CTS)(DTR)(RTS)

The machine is conected with the pc by a USB to RS-232 switch and the total lenght of the cable is about 5m.

Thank you in advance for your assistance
