Just found out that my PLG sensor needs to be replaced. Last year we replaced it only to find out it wasnt the problem, so we still have the old sensor. Is it possible to put in the old sensor without having to scope it?

If it was not the cause of the problem then it should still work surely?
If you want to confirm it with a scope you can look for the quad pulses 100p/rev.
On some Mazaks they were 12v supply and 5v quadrature output.
