We have a Hitachi Seiki HT20R with Seicos Multi Control.

The turret does not index manually in JOG mode. Gives a Turret Index Condition Error.

Im able to unclamp and clamp the tool holders. But would not index.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked to make sure the turret knows it it clamped in the ladder / diagnosis? When was the last time it was working for you? Is the turret currently clamped or unclamped?

Thanks for the reply. The problem is fixed. It was the Turret Index Controller. Changed the drive and works perfectly.

if your machine have servo controlled turret there is nothing to clamp or unclamp like other hydrolic turrets.it clamped by rotating motor.so there isn't any setting for clamping.but there are one or two sensors for indexing.you can check sensors if it's ok check diagnostics.i had some problem like"turret setting error or indexing error"it's only caused by diagnostics.

Now the controller seems to be fine. But I keep getting

"Turret Unclamped Incomplete".

Does this have the Yasnac i80? or the Seicos LIII?

Once you replaced the drive, did you check the drive parameters? Also, did you zero the turret on the #1 position?
