    Gleason 125H Grear Hob Warning

    Hello,

I am having some problems with a Gleason 125H Gear Hob. Can any one Advise as to what the following Warning code refers to?

    Warning 419: User File Error

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Dick,

Yes, I currently have a call into Gleason, I am awaiting their call. The machine is down and holding up production, so I am trying to use all of the resources that are at my disposal.

    Thanks,

How old is the machine? Gleason doesn't seem to want to service any machine over ten years old. They'd rather sell you a new one.

Ok, Problem solved, or at least pinpointed

After long discussions with the service tech at Gleason, here is what we figured out...

First Off, I have a Gleason Phoenix 125GH Gear Hob with Fanuc 15MA Controller, this is important, as this machine is friggin old

This machine uses a single board computer to communicate between the Gleason computer and the Fanuc controllers

The Warning "419: User File Error" is the controller telling the system that it cannot communicate with the Gleason computer. This was further realized because we could not initialize the Gleason screen. The gleason computer is above the Floppy Drive begind the metal plate.

I was told this happens because of the following reasons...

    1) The A: drive (Floppy) is either not functioning or a small 2 Amp fuse in the unit has blown

    2) The CMOS battery in the Gleason Computer needs to be replaced

    3) There is a loose wire connection somewhere between the computer and the Fanuc Controllers

Hope this helps some one somewhere get started.

    Thanks,
    Alex C.

    1.Check all fuse are ok.
2.No any battery for Gleason computer.
    3.No any loose connection found.

    So please guide me.
