    replacing motors

Hi, I built a desktop router a few years ago, using mach 3 with electrical kit from Daves site. My stepper motors are only 125 oz in nema 23, I am going to do some cutting on aluminum plate up to 1/4" ( in increments ) expect I will need bigger motors, if I go to the largest ones listed on Daves website, do I have to change anything else electrictly speaking.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

    re-replacement motors

If i was you i would check what power supply you have and the encoder drivers to see if they need upgrading, alternatively if you can't decide, settle for a "package" power supply, encoders drivers and stepper motors, you may find it could work out cheaper as a package. I would also consider if you are thinking of buying a new spindle motor check your "Z" depth and gantry stability with a bigger spindle motor attached. one other point buy a "aircraft grade" aluminium as you need a aluminium which "chips" this does'nt clog the cutter. hope this helps
