    Citizen L25

Im struggling with a Citizen cincom L25, I cant figure out how can you set the subspindle on Z. I tried MDI, G50 Z2=0, then on Preparation, then i ended u going to the T-Data even. What im trying to do is use the Sub and mill a slot with the gang tool as a backworking. We using G110 for this purpose. I got very upset because i don't have enough time on this machine, i figured out some of the less complex jobs, but this one just kicked my ass. Thank you ahead for the help i can get

I am not really sure what you are asking.........you want to bring the sub up to the tools and work on the back side of the part? WHat year is the machine and what control is on it. Is it an L3 or L5?

    Thanks Mike
So the Citizen is a 1997 L25, (our guy who runs it is on vacation and i am the only one who comes close to run the machine and setup). The controller, do not know exactly which one. Looked at the manuals, but did not see anything.
Now about my issue, yes, thats exactly what we trying to do. The programmer wrote it this way. You see, i run a Mori Seiki's with Fanuc controllers and also a Ganesh Cyclon CS 32. The Ganesh have subspindle working on it and when i touch of the sub. it's T3000, Z2=0, right? Now i tried to do the same on the Citizen but its just not working, most likely im doing it wrong. So we use a keycutter on the gangslide rotary station, and used G110 code. The rotary tool moves down on X1, the sub comes in, and cuts a small keyway on the back of the part. So when i try to establish the Z0 for the sub by touching it to the face of the part, its not reading it. Thats why im confused and of course lack of training on this sweet little machine. But im always too busy with aerospace orders i didnt have much time to spend on it.
Thank you once again Mike for your time on helping me, much appreciated
