    Tormach digitizing probe off by 0.020". Where is Mach3 offset?

    I just purchased the Tormach digitizing probe and am looking for an offset value to properly locate X/Y axis. Compared to a mechanical edge finder, the probe is off by about 0.020".

    I'm still pretty new to the Tormach and am using default Mach3 settings as set with Tormach's PC controller.

    Any ideas?

    You need to center it. There is a post that was made with the correct procedure. Look at the latest PCNC manual to see the wizard and how to use it.... Again, find the recent post for the corrected procedure. The one in the manual isn't correct.

    Check that you have the correct ball probe diameter entered. I think it is 3mm, but the default in Mach3 was larger. The alignment sequence is also incorrect in the manual. See this post for updated procedure:
