I am building a bench this week and was thinking of bolting it directly
to a foundation wall that i will be putting it next to anyway.I am using
2 x 2 steel for the bench + thinking of taking one length and welding it
to the back side of the bench, drilling and "lagging" it to the wall.
any thoughts on whether this would cause more, or less vibration,
and do you think there should be a small "pad" betwwen the steel and
the wall to cancel vibes their? i have some very tough antivibration pads
that my lathe has been sitting on for years without any problems , 1/8 "
thick , was thinking of using these.

don't know if you need this but if it helps,,
bench is for a mill that is about 800lbs

what do you think ? waste of time , good idea, any ideas will be helpfull,
thank you
