    metal emblem

    Please help what kind machine i have to use if i need to make like this pict.

    Finishing gold or antique gold.
    Material: whatever low cost metal thickness abt 1.2-2mm
    size 50x50mm


    Should i use laser metal marking, etching or casting?

    It looks like a casting to me. The background texture might have been originally created using an etching process, though. I don't think a laser marking tool gets this kind of effect. You could master it using a CNC machine, and send the master pattern to a sand foundry for replication.

    do you know a simple way metal casting in a small volume?

    There are lots of metal casting techniques which have been worked out over the thousands of years people have been doing this. But while I could suggest something like the Ashanti system of coating a wax part in a mixture of clay and cowdung, heating it in a fire, then packing the top part of the mold with metal chunks and reheating until the cavity is full, a lot depends on what metal you're dealing with, how big the casting is, how many castings you need, what sort of surface finish is acceptable, what your budget is, what facilities you've got, etc. The easiest thing is to send it out to someone who does this all the time and pay them to do it. The hardest is to work it out for yourself, with no money, tools, facilities or expertise.
