    Conversion to LCD monitor

I am converting a VMC15XT (1994) to an LCD monitor. I purchased a kit from Earth LCD.

    XLK-12.1-VGA

So now I have to go from my BNC cable to a D shell, anyone know if I need a connector like this from Amazon?
[ame=http://www.amazon.com/VideoSecu-Composite-Video-Adapter-Converter/dp/B001SJDESC]Amazon.com: VideoSecu Composite Video to PC VGA Adapter BNC to VGA Converter 1L9: Electronics[/ame]

    Thanks all
    Scott

I can post the design for the bezel to mount the monitor if anyone would find that useful.

Are you sure that monitor signal is VGA? That LCD is fairly hi-res, and many of the CRT type monitors were either CGA or low res VGA and/or TTL.

Hmmm, well Al, I am not sure of anything lately! I am learning with the sink-or-swim method on this screen retrofit.

I wonder if anyone else can answer that.....I am not sure what the 1994 VMC15 monitor resolution is......

I was able to convert to a LCD TV using a composite jumper I bought for $3.50 at Radio Shack. I removed the old CRT screen and replaced it with an Aluminum cover plate. Mounted the TV to the plate and it Works great. While the machine is busy machining parts I can change video feeds and watch movies While I work.

    Hope this helps.

Email me @ [email protected] and I cant help you out with some pictures.

I bought a brand new LCD TV after using relevant information about electronics from this platform. It generally helps people for making their right purchasing decision when it comes to technologies.
