    DNC over ethernet

    Hi

Our CNC machine (fanuc 31i controller) can be connected using ethernet instead of rs/232.

Does all DNC software require you to use a virtual com port in this case or can some connect without this kind of emulation and talk directly over ethernet with the CNC ?

    Thanks.

    Hi TOGE,
Its not possible via the imbedded Ethernet, but it is possible with the Option Board.

    Regards,
