Trying to decide between two 6" vises

I'm trying to decide between two 6" vises from Shars.com, the 690V 6" CNC milling machine vise for $275, and the 660U 6" CNC milling machine vice for $380.

Both have .0004" repeatability. The 690V seems to have more travel, but based on the shape, seems (to me) to be harder to square w the table. The 660 can also be installed sideways, not sure if that's worth the extra $105 though?

Long ago I purchased 3 vices all in the same style as the cheaper vice you linked, but now I find myself regretting that none of them can be mounted on their side. Go for the one with ground sides!

Thanks. Still trying to decide if it's worth returning the 5" vise I already got for credit? After shipping that's only $50, thinking it would be better to just have a second one?

I'll be CNC'ing my Grizzly G0704 -- think it's worth having 2 vises on the same bed? Or would that just be too much extra weight for a G0704 bed?

The 660 every time, the other Vice although is a good Vice it has a keyed back jaw

The 660 is not keyed, Base & back jaw are all one piece, worth the extra money just for that
