    Master cam version 9.1

im trying to make a contour cut on a piece of stone using master cam 9.1.. it makes the cut but it makes the cut then raises up at the end then goes back the the bigginning.. im trying to figure out how to make the bit stay down so it will start at one end and go down 1/8 then at the end make the tool stay down and cut down another 1/8 so it will finish my piece quicker..///

on your depth cuts did you tell it to keep tool down?

That all depends on the part that I am cutting.

    endpoints

Make sure all the endpoints actually meet up. It looks to me like there are gaps in your contour.

it cuts the contour correctly but im trying to make the cut faster by kepping the tool down instead of the tool going back up at the end of the contour on every pass

if you use the ramp option to cut a open contour it will climb and conventional cut down the contour. If you want it to only climb cut then telling it to keep the cutter down should keep it down. Hope this helps.
