    CIMCO & Solidworks

Hello i have some files in solidworks and i want to use them (the dwg file) in CIMCO to see, in the simulation, how the pieces are realized and to create the file with which i can program the lathe.
    Is it possible?
    thank you

not sur to understand what you want

solidworks is a cad software, which you can make parts and drawings

cimco is a simulation software for the cutting operation

between the 2 software, you need to use a cam software to produce the toolpath file (gcode file)

    hello fab,

    you have understood the problem
what kind of cam software can i use?
i ask because we are two employee one (me) is using solidwork and the other cimco and we need to comunicate.
what i want is to find a way, if it exists, with which i can do my drawing and he using this can generate directly a software with cimco

    the answer is here
CNCzone.com-The Largest Machinist Community on the net! - Powered by vBulletin (link to the cam software!)

the choice depends on : the kind of part you are making, the kind of machining you are making (2d, 3d , 4axis,...)
    the budget you have
    the machine you are using
