    EMCO compact6 tool holders

I also just bought a EMCO turn 120 lathe that I plan to retrofit to LinuxCNC,
it came with one 2.5mm drill bit collet.

So I will also have to make some more as well.

The clamped cutout has a slight taper to it such that the collet gets stuck in the tool turret.

For the turning tools, I don't know how they are supposed to mount in the tool turret. Maybe wedge a small bolt and nut in the slot between the tool and turret? will have to find out.

    Hi Bad_G

Thanks for the drawing, i need that too. I also need drawings of the clamp.
Like I said, there is nothing left only the turret, all tools and holders was removed.

Yes same with mine, just had that one collet.
If someone could please post a picture of the Outer Diameter Tool Clamp, so I can replicate it.
    Thanks

    Hi mikeDX,
I also found that thread by CNC_SWE, http://www.cnczone.com/forums/emco_l...volver_pc.html

I drew it out using the dimensions off my tool turret.

It seems to me that there are just two M6 bolts that do the clamping.
I'm going to use Glanze 12x12mm indexable turning tools,
This is what I'm going to machine for mine.

I can see I have a different turret than yours, my is the new model, but the Clamping gib is the same, I have 2 of those. If you send me the DXF of the clamp I will put in the right measure. It is 6mm bolts but with 8mm heads. see pic.

I have contactet EMCO for buying A tool holder, waiting for reply.

    It's a 6mm bolt with a 10mm head.

Okay, but the one I have here it's 8mm head, I think it's easier to get your tool in to tightening the bolts with a 8mm spanner instead of 10mm. spanner

No news yet about the tool holder... I didnt think it would be that hard to get one.

Are you still looking for drawings?
I made some years ago of my own.
    Do I seek the drawing?
