    DNC w/Dynapath Delta 20

I would like to drip feed with a Delta 20 control. I am able to get into Buffered input, but nothing happens when I try to run the program. I may be missing a step or something. Any help would be appreciated

Do you have sequence numbers on every block of your program ?
    Dynapath 20's require it.

You have to put it in the rs232c mode then all you have to do is hit 1 for auto.

and then sent from your pc then go back to you mill hit cycle start.

Drip feed or Buffered tape input for the Delta 20 is a control Option.
If you have the option, you turn it on by using the Program Name in the Catalog
    RS232C

When you select your Mode you will now have a limited number of modes to choose from.

Mode 1 is Auto and this is Now Buffered tape input.

On the PC you start you Transmission to the Delta 20.
The PC software must use Xon / Xoff and it Must WAIT for the Delta 20 to signal the start.

With the PC ready and Waiting,

You Press Cycle Start on the Delta 20...

This signals the PC to Start sending..

The Delta 20 will start to run the program and at the same time it will Fill up the Memory Buffer...

The Delta 20 runs the program from Memory instead of directly from the RS232 port... But this is only provided that the Moves are big enough to let the 9600 baud rate keep up...

I can get you a copy of the manual if you still need it, not a hardcopy, but as a file.

As far as drip feeding on the dynapath, it's pretty simple, I've only done it a couple times, but it's really easy. We use Mastercam 9.

    delta 20 drip Feed

We tried drip feeding today. It seemed to work fine even for 300KB programs with one exception: We cannot get to the end of a program, even a short one. It stops 30-10 lines short of the end of the program. The machine stops moving at the end of a line. Time continues t accumulate, but it will not proceed. We even ran a 64 line program that runs fine in memory, but in Drip mode it stops 3 lines from the end.

We think it must be a look-ahead issue but do not have an answer yet. Would X ON/ XOFF selection matter.

    Manual

I have the four looseleaf notebooks that came with my Lagun 310.
These include the manuals for Dynapath 20.

If I knew what part you wanted . Maybe. I can help.

I'm curious about your last statement..I have some programs that won't drip feed entirely....I'm doing some small text engraving with 1/8" ball Mills....
