Hi, everyone!
I´ve been here on cnczone but this is my first post.

I´m having trouble connecting Mazak mazatech h-400 with Mazatrol CAM M-2 to PC, and everything I have tryed just doesen´t work.

Cable I´m using is null modem. Connected like this: (x-y, x-> PC DB9, x-> mazak DB25) 2-3, 3-2, 5-7, PC has jumpered 1-4-6 and 7-8, cnc has jumpered 2-6-8 and 4-5.
Cable was tested on fanuc, and was working.

I think that I´ve actualy tryed every posible combination of rs232 settings both on pc and machine.
If I use punch or tape, I can´t receive nor send any data. But if I activate DNC function, I get scrambled data to mazatrol, and if I power mazak off and back on, it restarts with alarm.

Can anyone give me some guidelines how to upload ISO files????

Mazak has the FX17 board...

You might try looking at this link from Cadem.com and see if your settings and cable are correct.

On my machine, "I" parameters are defined as cutting parameters.

By my operating manual, parameter OP16 is for RS232 specification, OP23 is for tape baudrate and OP24 is for punch baurdate.

Parameter Y04, bit 0 is to enable/disable DNC. Currently it is disabled...
