    read floppies from Vanguard 500

we have Sundstrand OM60s with Vanguard 500 (swinc) controls. the floppies for the exec and msd files read into the control but I can't read them on any of my floppy drives in PCs (USB mostly, and one older laptop)
does anyone know of a way to read these floppies?

    Communicating Via Floppy

    Hi,

The Vanguard has a proprietary file format. So, PC's won't be able to read Vanguard formatted floppies.

Because the technology is so old on the Vanguard controller, we find the best way to transfer data is to use a computer and the Xmodem protocal which is still supported by a lot of serial communication software and operating systems. We also use Xmodem to load the programs onto the Vanguard so we don't put any unncessary wear and tear on the floppy drive, as it will be hard to get replacement drives for them.

I hope this is helpful. If anybody else has made any communication improvemements on the Vanguard, such as dripfeeding from a computer, please contact me, as we are trying to improve our upload time.
