HI all,
I am trying to get my Edgecam to post g-code correctly to my new 828d shopmill control.
I'm unsure as to how the code SHOULD look.
I have tried older g-code programs but it seems to be mainly the tool call and a few other codes that are fetting in my way.
I have used codewizard before to sort out my Hurco postprocessor but this siemens is giving me a headache.
Does anyone have a sample code OR can anyone guide me into how to changing what I need to change in order to get this to work for me?

Hi,

I used to work with Sinumeric 820D control on Deckel Maho machine. I used Mastercam for programming - the G code worked in ISO mode only not in Shopmill. Shopmill has built-in conversational programming and I am not sure if the ISO G code works in Shopmill as well.
Sorry, I can't help you with G code for Shopmill, but if you try ISO mode I am sure you will get the results.

Well after spending 3hours with a good sample of the siemens g-code and Edgcam's code wizard I have a first workable post..
I am currently running a few test programs (in acetal)
So far so good.

I was advised to use the Fanuc template from edgecam and modify that..
It appears to be working but a few more days of testing is needed to be sure.
