    g-code for sinumerik 828d problem

    Hi all,

    I have just started to operate our new VMC with 828d controller.
    Loving the controller so far but need to post g-code from our edgecam software.
    My issue is that I cannot get the tools to be recognised..
    ANy help would be appreciated.

    Are you using a tool library or tool numbers?? Most post processors won't post in a tool library format.

    I have spent a good few hours going through lots of settings in the post processor using code wizard in edgecam and NOW I think I have a working format.
    the tools are recognised as numbers though as you rightly say 'scurr'
