Has anyone been sucsessfull networking a Biesse machine.

First I would like to be able to call up programs to run from a netowork drive using the F1 function from Quote.

Second I would like to be able to use a barcode to load a program from a job directory (network) then run. Currently I have to do the following.
1- move all program files from network to local prog dir on machine.
2- scan barcodes into a list (F2 function in quote)
3- Press the start button on computer
4- Then load panel
5-Press cycle button.

What is the point of barcoding if you need to make a list to use?

On my older machines
1- Specify working dir (can be on network)
2- Scan code
3- Load panel
4- Cycle machine

I am trying to avoid having to move/create/maintain a second set of files for use at the machine if possible.

I am being told that you can only run from the local machine directory, has anyone found a workaround? Or am I just missing something?

What is the control on this machine? Typically on the Biesse's I have networked in the past, the network connection only provided you the ability to move programs created on an offline pc to the local control directory. The barcode reader would only read from the local program directory and select it to the worklist. This was true of the XNC,NC1000,NC500,NC410,NC400 and RT480 controls.
The BiesseWorks controls I have worked on function in a similar way because the Works software is built on the NC1000 platform.
Granted the newest year model I work on is about 2009 so I would need to know the specific control. Have you contacted Biesse?
