    New User trying Demo

I have D/L'ed the demo. I am following the tutorials and watching the video's.
I really like the program. I am a hobbyist and I am building a machine now.
I like it that I can get a program that is focused on doing one thing and doing it very well.
I am tired of all the programs that want to sell me expensive software that does everything
I do not want to do and very poorly the one thing I want to do.
I am not a designer and I do not want to learn a cad program. I want to work with pictures and
models I buy or have made for me.I will be working the demo to death until the 30 days are up
and I should have my machine done in that time. Great Program I only hope I can get some good
results from it. I may have a lot of questions.

    Thank You:wave:

    Hi Gallchobhair,

Thanks for this positive comment on DeskProto !
On the web you will be able to find many interesting 3D geometries, ready to go. A few nice sample can be downloaded from the DeskProto website.
I hope that your machine indeed will be ready before your 30 days are over, and look forward to seeing some results.

BTW, in case you are in the NY area: meet us on the World Maker Faire on Sept 29 and 30. See World Maker Faire 2012

Sorry I am in the Seattle ,Wa area. Wish I was in NY I would love to meet other CNC people. I have a lot to learn. Are there any CNC or DeskProto people in Seattle area.

I know about Vector graphics and the one on your site what other places are there to get free or paid vector pieces.

    Geometry downloads

The "Vector downloads" that you mention suggest 2D graphics (vector versus bitmap). The links that we have are for 3D work.
You can find these on DeskProto >> links >> 3D models: external links
