    Question Milling plaster help

hello, I am new to the forum.
and obviously I need some help.

I am milling a plaster mold.
I need help with Rhino cam settings?

I understand that plaster will let out a lot of dust and could damage the machine. But I saw this video and he don't have any dust.

any information on the feeds& speeds and step over will be very helpful, and also machine Safety.
looking forward to hear your comments!

    Thanks!

It's hard to say from a video, but in that one he's just doing the finish pass with a very fine-tipped tool, so there isn't much dust being generated, and what there is is being blown away by the downdraft from the spindle. You can see it accumulating on the table at the top of the screen.

Plaster of Paris (calcium sulphate) isn't an abrasive material, so its dust won't damage your machine more than wood dust, but you can minimize it by adding a little white glue to the water before mixing it. Let the blanks dry thoroughly before carving them, since it (and any cutting debris) will be sticky otherwise.

It's impossible to tell you what speeds and feeds to use without knowing what you're carving, how fast your spindle goes, what tool you're using, etc.
