Can anyone direct me to makers of CNC lathes with quick change tooling? Hitachi Seiki used to make them (& we own a few), but is no longer in business. I glanced at Mori's (aquired Hitachi) website products section but didn't find anything of interest. And when I say "quick change", I don't mean VDI.

These are the closest options I'm aware of currently, but hoping for even better. We have a Mazak Nexus 250 MSY using a combo of VDI & C4 Capto. Workable, but less than ideal. We also have a J300 with a C6 spindle & tool changer. Great, but is a big $ "machining center". Looking for a simple 2 axis lathe without the VDI piece of the connection of the 250 & without the tool changer of the J300 Machine (& the price tag of either). A simple 2 axis lathe that accepts either of these directly. Does anybody make such an animal?
