I'm sure other people have had similar problem, looking for any input. Have searched around but can't find any similar threads.

When machine is warmed up and I try to cut at say 44IPM in .063 alum. with .250" cutter I get about 3" into cut and spindle starts winding down. If I pause or jog the cutter up, spindle just keeps winding down to 0. Looking at the Baldor 45 vector drive, it still shows commanded RPM's.

Had a similar problem with a Fadal 4020 where the supply wire was too small and getting a huge voltage drop under load.

Yea, I have pretty heavy guage wire, done by a electrician. But I did find one of the terminals loose at the fuse/switch. But still getting same issue.

Looking more like spindle motor to me. Seeing how someone removed the fan at some point and all the crap thats down on the coil I think the insulation has probably gotten warm and is breaking down.

looks like I may have found blown cap on vector drive board, I've submitted a new post, looking for the values for Cap C28

Yea so new spindle motor, new drive and still not working properly.......new relays as well...
