    Cut3d g-code changing "scale" in mach3?

I'm in the process of setting up a new cnc router and evaluating cut2d/cut3d and I'm getting unexpected behavior when using the g-code files it generates. The machine is set up and moving all axis as expected, but after importing a g-code file from the Vectric software (both Mach3 ARC and ATC post processors), the machines movements are all off as if the scale of the machine has been changed. The Mach3 DRO will tell me I've moved .1", but it has physically moved several inches.

After assuming that I was mixing metric and US, I went back, restarted everything, and did the whole process again. All in inches, and tried both Mach3 post processors again. Same result.

Can someone please point me at what I am doing wrong? Has anyone seen this before.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Just had an epiphany (or a momentary lack of idiocy) and realized that the "Native Units" in Mach3 is set to MM. I'm guessing that is the cause and that I should use the metric post processors because of that.

As soon as I can get back to the machine, I will verify. Just wanted to post a quick reply to save some nice people some time responding to this.

    No, you shouldn't.

You should change the Native units to inches in Mach3, and that should be all you need to do. Just close and restart mach3 and it should be good. As long as you're using the inch post processors.
