    Hello Everybody,

My company just purchased a Doosan 2100 SY with subspindle and Y axis. I am curious if anybody has a post processor for the machine it uses a Fanuc 31i controller

Your Surfcam dealer should be able to supply you with correct post file free of charge.

If not, then you can use SPost editor to modify one of existing posts to work with your machine.

Our company had a post done for our Okuma for free.

I contacted surfcam but it will not be free of charge for a post-processor. I have never used Spost and the manuals are not friendly at all. Does anyone have a lot of experience with Spost and were did you find a good manual.

unless you know FORTRAN or are a wiz at coding, Spost is not easy to learn. Your best bet is to contact Paul Andrews @ Posthaste post processor (Home_ and upgrade your mpost so you can make your own posts.

There is a graphical utility in surfcam package that allows to create and edit existing sposts. No docs needed, you just stroll through tabs and fill up fields like "coolant on code"
All one needs to do is open existing fanuc lathe and add c axis.

There might even be one like that in there already.

    Go to Program files.
    Go to SURFCAM Tools
    Open Spost Configuration utility
    ...it loads...
Go to open one of "Mills" samples (IE EXAMPLE: Millturn Post)
And basically using common sense eter as many corrdct values into every field as possible.

Might take a day or two to get it right, months to perfect it.
B/C even posts you would order from SC are ...not perfect to say the least.
