Hi all.

I'm running an old macturn 50 with OSP7000L control. I'm fairly new to the machine but i can run it no problem. The problem is the language of the control is in Danish, so i'm forced to do all the programs on CAM even for parts that is much more easier and faster done on the machine using the conversational programming.

I have read all the manuals of this machine but I couldn't find anything about the language setting.

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

the language is set in the system software and can't be changed by the user.
to change it requires a different (i.e. English) version of the system software.
you will need to contact Okuma for that.

alternatively just learn the words (and impress your friends/wife/girlfriend at the same time ;-)
the softkey menu is very simple with a limited number of items.
all you need to do it translate them using google translate and write down each word and pin it up on the NC panel and then refer to it while using it.

I believe the ability for the user to change language didn't appear until the E series control (multi-language spec).
