    Question Unknown G code

    What does a g code command " 28.1" do and how is it used?

    it doesn't exist on any Fanuc control (even the latest 32 series) but there are numerous references on the net for Mach 3, LinuxCNC etc

    Machine is a plasma cutter, with a C and CNC Bladerunner control.

    It would appear that the difference in G28.1 over G28, is due to the fact that G28 is designed for machines with slow down switch and marker pulse and will return the the axis at G0 to the recorded home position, G28.1 is for stepper motor and servo systems that only use the home switch to register home and are required to see the home switch again in the G28.1.
    At least that is the way I interpret it?
