Fanuc 6T (no CRT) parameter backup

Have an old Mori lathe with 6T control (no CRT)

From what i've read there are no batteries in the machine that I need to worry about replacing, if anyone could confirm?

Just curious on the procedure to backup all parameters through my RS232 connection. I've also heard that there are certain parameters that will not transfer out and I must manually write them down.

    Thanks for any info

do you mean the CRT is missing or the control does not have a CRT?
If it is a 6T you need a screen to see what you are typing.
If it never had a CRT you may have an early 6T that didn't have a screen but the procedure should be the same for a later 6T with CRT.
Check this thread for more info on punching 6T parameters.....

Thanks for the link I will read that thread

Yes I should have clarified, the 6T is an early one with no CRT (looks like a 5T). There is a spot on one of the boards to plug a CRT in it seems but I've yet to experiment.
