    I have a milltronics partner 1 with a centurion 5 control.
The machine boots up, homes, and runs prgs. fine. The problem is that recently it cuts everything in x axis .044" per inch too big. X only. I set up a indicator, and it travels 1.044 X positive, then 1.044 back in x negative. I checked the endplay and its .0015" and the ball screw seems tight.
    Any ideas?

It sounds like it is time to re-format and re-load - see previous posts.

    milltronics software

Does anyone have a software disc for a milltronics partner 1 serial no. 3046 with a centurion 5 control. Could I get a copy?

Why would you need to reformat.

I'm sorry I don't know that software, perhaps call the manufacturer.

I'm sorry I wasn't more explicit in my answer.

Look back a few posts to where I attached the procedure to re-format the sram chips and then re-load the parameters from the original factory parameters disk for that machine. You should have a copy of that disk or a hard copy of the parameters in the manuals that accompanied the machine when it was shipped. If you can't find it, contact Milltronics' service dept, they should be able to provide you with the file or at least a hard copy of it. Just remember to back-up your program files first, they will be erased when you re-format.

The reason you want to try this first is that things can happen which can cause the parameter file to become corrupted. Whenever a machine starts doing weird things, it is a good idea to start with a clean parameter file to eliminate that as a possibility.

The 'steps per rev' referred to is known on the Centurion control as the Axis parameter PPU (Pulses per Unit) and if that value is wrong, your move will also be wrong. You also might have a problem with the Ballscrew Compensation Table for the X axis. Re-loading the parameters will 'fix' both of these potential problems.
