Metabo BS18 LTX Quick wobble runout problems

I have it about 2months, been actually working about 5 times. I have been using it to drill holes in wood about 5m to 10mm, for screws about 25mm to 200mm in lenght. While the batteries last long the chuck developed runout that is about 1mm for 18cm drill bit. That is very bad as it is brand new.

I expected metabo to have quality given their 3 year warranty service, but if a flagman tool LTX 18 Quick 4Ah in few months develops runout that you can feel if you grasp the chuck with your hand without any measuring tools that is very bad for metabo. I'll see if the runout increases I have plenty of time to warranty it but let this bee a warning to future cutomers that even metabo can't be trusted. Same with Makita.

Re: Metabo BS18 LTX Quick wobble runout problems

Every company will send out a bad product occasionally. While it sucks that you're the "chosen one" saying don't trust Metabo based upon a sample size of one before even contacting warranty is foolish and misrepresents the quality of the brand. We have a good half dozen Metabo drills and their quality and customer service is second to none.
