Exclamation Vise Manufacturing in the USA - Orange Vise Company

We just released these two videos introducing our company, which specializes in manufacturing precision workholding products in the USA.

Both videos were shot, edited, and uploaded in 1080P, so click on the full screen icon for a better viewing experience.

If you enjoyed my tutorial videos in the past, you'll be glad to know that Orange Vise will be continually producing new videos for the foreseeable future. We hope to have some G-code videos up before the holidays, and advanced milling techniques, product shootouts, etc. in the early part of the new year. Thanks for watching!

Well I, for one, am excited about purchasing from you in the future! Very impressed with everything about those vises, and I wish you nothing but the best. I know where I am going for vises from now on!

Very nice website. As you build up your technical tips page I'm sure you'll not only attract more visitors, but build up a nice clientele as well. It's got some great info for newbies, and helpful insight for the old guys.

You've got a good looking product, and it looks like it's competitively priced.

Be curious of your view as to what differentiates you with Chick and Glacern, and of course Kurt. You've got a good looking product, and it looks like it's competitively priced.

Thanks fizzissist for the positive feedback!

What separates the Orange Vise from the market is its no-compromise design. It wasn't made to a price point, nor was it designed for ease of manufacturing. Instead, it was designed to perform in many different environments equally well, from prototyping to full production.

Form closely follows function in the fit and finish of the vise. We flame-hardened and powdercoated the body for abrasion and corrosion resistance. We plated the jaw carriers for the same reason, but chose the much thinner nickel plating to facilitate sliding motion.

Feature-wise, it's the only double station vise with a center jaw that can be offset from the middle, allowing you to clamp one small part and one large part. It's the only vise that converts from double station to a single station while maintaining the exact same footprint, with your choice of pinning down either the front or the rear jaw as the fixed jaw with tenths repeatability in all three axes. Other double vises require an obtrusive plate that fixes the front jaw only and does not accurately locate the jaw side-to-side.

A lot of the features on the Orange Vise are dual purpose. For example, the numerous quick change features make the vise very convenient for accurately switching setups, but it also makes for effortless disassembly when it comes time for cleaning. We don't hide the reality that cleaning is an inevitable part of machining.

Along these same lines, we don't include a 50 cent piece of sheet metal or spring steel and call it a chip cover. Instead, we completely shielded and sealed the main threads so that chip covers wouldn't be needed. Fully sealed threads also allow us to use copious amounts of grease, making for smoother action and increased holding power.

A complete list of features and performance specs can be found on our website at orangevise.com/vises. Other vises may share some of these, but none come close to sharing all of them.

    Hi Matt,

We don't currently make any manual mill vises. We may introduce one in the future but plans are not yet concrete.

Perhaps our ball couplers can be used in a manual machine setup? Users who use a lot of vises, indexers, and other workholding fixtures/devices can benefit from quick-change capability.
