    Vectric 2d

Hi everyone, I tried yesterday to assign tool paths to something I'm working on, and for some reason when it cuts it has a lot of up and down Z axis movement. It's like the engraving has broken/open chains or something. The link is a picture of the engraving, the deer is what giving me trouble.

    Hi...

If not broken chains, do you have duplicate vectors in the deer?

Before I upgraded to vcarve I had problems with cut2D doing some keyring engraving that turned out to be duplicate vector issues.

Also, are you pocketing between two lines, or engraving on one?

Are you happy to post a DXF to check out?

    Cheers, Chris H.

Thanks for the reply. I can post a DXF tonight when I Get home from work. The finished engraving in the picture was set up in another program and turned out good, it engraved the deer in one pass no problems. I'm engraving on the line.

    Thanks
    Mike

I figured it out. I joined all the vectors with the edit vectors button, and all is good. Thanks
