Specific Task Skill/Qualification Requirements• High school graduate or possess GED, trade school, industrial school, appropriate military school, or an accredited correspondence school in which credits were received in an applicable trade
• Minimum of (3) years verifiable recent work experience as a journey level Inside Machinist
• Pass an observational assessment to include:
o Measuring: measurement of outside diameters and depths using O.D. micrometers & depth micrometers
o Operate: a manual mill or lathe, manufacturing parts with the following attributes: concentricity, parallelism, perpendicularity, and tolerances of +/-.005”. Candidate will also demonstrate knowledge of tapping, boring, and threading processes

General Duties• Operate machinery consisting of but not limited to, conventional lathes, mills, drills, grinders, and horizontal, vertical boring machinery as required for the manufacturer and repair of various parts and or components associated with maintenance being performed on U.S. Naval surface ship and submarine platforms
• May include lifting and carrying of material up to 50 pounds

10 Hr Shifts

Day: 5:20 am -4:02 pm
Swing: 3:30 pm-2:00 am
Graveyard: 9:30 pm – 12:00 am
