Will a Microkinetics controller communicate with EMC2?

I'm looking at an older Microkinetics express mill for sale. Metal working mill.

What I'm used to using for controller software is EMC2, tho. So I've been trying to figure out if the Microkinetics controller will communicate with EMC2 properly.

From the manufacturer's website, the MN400 controller will interface via:

    USB
    RS232
    RS485

USB and RS232 are specifically stated as non-functional with EMC2, according to the LinuxCNC hardware page. RS485 isn't mentioned, from what I've been able to find.

It appears that the MN400 has a physical DB9 port on it... what I'm wondering is, will EMC2 recognize and speak to it?

Apologies in advance if this sounds dumb. It likely is. My previous experience with CNC communications was with a keling breakout board/controller board using a DB25 to communicate with EMC2 for my homemade CNC wood mill.

I suppose an alternative avenue to explore would be to see if the Microkinetics motor drivers are compatible with a controller board that CAN speak to EMC2?

    Thanks in advance.

Ignore the post before you Andy; there seems to be a fair bit of spamming tonight.

Yeah, I figured it had to be something like that. When I hit quote, there were some sketchy looking links in his post.

    On the topic tho...

I guess my other question would be, does anyone know if the Microkinetics express motor drivers are compatible with, say... a C11 breakout board? Or one of the other common DIY breakout boards?

I'm thinking that might be the easy way to do it if all else fails.
