    Witch machine to buy?

    Hello

    Looking for used cnc mill 3 axis.

    Machine height can not be more then 7 ft.
    Trying to put the machine in the office type building.
    Garage door opening max 7 ft.


    Any help is appreciated.

    I'm a noobie as well , depends on what your wanting to do.

    I started with a shopmaster Patriot (it's for sale) , a little more travel in X & Y , has a lathe , running 3 axis , has 4 axis controler

    Just bought a Tormach 1100. I'd say it's a MUCH better all machine over all for what we do.

    NOTHING wrong with a Shopmaster , I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing if it wasn't for them. A GOOD way to find out if you want/like CNC work.

    Is the 7ft the room heigth or only the door height. Many vertical mills will moved, with the Z-axe down. Therefore they are some half yard higher at work. My big 5 ton machine with the dollies under the machine fits into a door with 7ft height and wide.
