    Why can't I loft cut?

I'm trying to create a "quick" part to use as a work clamp. The design is pretty simple, yet I cannot get Alibre to do the loft cut between two sketches through an extrusion.

I suspect I have created the part incorrectly. Could someone look at it and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

When I try to create the loft I select the loft cut tool, then obround objects in Sketch3 and Sketch2. I would expect the cut to go from the bottom obround object to the top obround object. I get an X on the loft feature and when I check the status it says, "ACISERROR_INVALID_BODY_RESULT: Operation - The Feature results in an invalid Body."

Try creating the sketches you are going to loft out of discrete lines and curve geometries, do not use pre-made shapes, and make sure each sits on its own plane.
